The Part People Underestimate

Winter in Springfield isn't brutal, but it's long enough to undo a season of work. cold and frozen turf account for about three months, and the practice ranges close before the courses do. Build a bay and that stops mattering. You're hitting real shots with real numbers through December through February, and the swing you take into spring is the one you spent all summer building. That's the whole case, and it holds up in Greene County whether you play twice a month or three times a week.

Most customers here have a home course in the mix. Whether that's Bellerive Country Club in Town and Country or somewhere else in Greene County, the point of accurate indoor practice is that it transfers when you get back outside.

Altitude Calibration For Springfield

Elevation around Springfield is about 1,300 feet, so thin air isn't a factor in your gapping. Set the altitude field to 1,300 anyway. Two reasons. The default is not always sea level, and if you ever compare notes with a golfer practising at 5,000 feet, you'll want to know which of you is being flattered by the air.

Residential And Commercial Installs

In Springfield the rooms split three ways. Basements are the most common and the constraint is almost always ceiling height at the lowest duct or beam rather than the height in the middle of the room. Garages come second and bring temperature with them, so insulation and a heat source belong in the scope if you want the bay usable during December through February. Outbuildings are the least common and the best outcome, because you set the interior height instead of inheriting it. We survey all three the same way and give you the honest answer about what the space supports before anything is ordered.

If you have not chosen equipment yet, start with home golf simulators or the Springfield residential page instead, then come back for the install.

What You Get On Install Day

We quote installation itemised. The launch monitor and any room work are separate lines because those two move the number more than everything else combined, and you should be able to see them and decide. Everything else sits in a fairly narrow band. If your Springfield room needs a duct moved or a slab levelled, that is visible in the quote rather than buried, and you can take it on yourself if you have the trades.

Field note. Garage slabs fall toward the door for drainage, usually about a quarter inch per foot. Level the bay area with a subfloor or your readings drift in one direction and you will blame your swing for months.

Springfield Simulator Questions

Can I use a golf simulator year round in Springfield?

Yes. cold and frozen turf close outdoor golf around Springfield for about three months, and the shoulder weeks in March and November are marginal at best. An indoor bay covers all of it. Most of our Missouri customers report their heaviest use falls in the exact months the courses are shut, which is what you'd want from the investment.

What altitude should I set my simulator to in Springfield?

Use 1,300 feet. Simulator software defaults to sea level, and Springfield sits well away from that, so the correction is worth making. Using the two percent per thousand feet rule of thumb, you're looking at about 2.6 percent more carry than a sea level baseline. We set this during commissioning and re-check it after software updates, because updates sometimes reset it.

Do you install golf simulators I bought elsewhere?

Yes, install only is a service we offer across Greene County. Send the model list with your room dimensions first. If the equipment genuinely does not suit the space, for example an overhead launch monitor in a low basement, we will tell you before we take the job rather than fit something that will not read properly.

How long does a golf simulator installation take?

A straightforward residential bay in Springfield is usually one to two days on site once the room is ready. Rooms needing work first, such as a duct reroute, added circuits or floor levelling, add time before we arrive rather than during. Commercial installs run longer and are driven by structure, power and acoustic work.

Do I need a permit to install a golf simulator?

The simulator itself is equipment rather than construction, so usually not. Associated work can be a different matter: new circuits, structural changes or a new outbuilding are typically permitted work, and requirements vary by municipality. Check with your local building department in Springfield early, and we will tell you which parts of the scope are likely to need it.
