Accessibility Statement

Golf Simulators For Less is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard only navigation, screen magnification, speech input and other assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of the build here rather than something added afterwards.

Our Target Standard

We are working to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to the expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act as it applies to places of public accommodation. Where we fall short of that standard we would rather say so than claim otherwise.

What Is Built In

• A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page.
• Semantic HTML landmarks, a single H1 per page and headings in logical order without skipped levels.
• Visible focus indicators on every interactive element, meeting the 3:1 contrast expectation.
• Full keyboard operation, including the mega menu, the mobile menu, the stepped quote form and the accessibility panel, with Escape closing each.
• Text alternatives on every meaningful image, and decorative images marked so assistive technology skips them.
• Form fields with real labels, errors announced in a live region and focus moved to the field that needs attention.
• Tap targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch devices.
• Support for the operating system reduced motion preference, which disables scroll animation and the marquee.
• Layout that reflows to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, and that survives 200 percent zoom.

The Accessibility Panel

Every page carries a control panel, reachable from the icon at the bottom right of the screen or by keyboard. It provides text sizing up to 150 percent, wider text and line spacing, a high contrast mode, a more readable font for dyslexia, link highlighting, motion reduction, animation pause, a large cursor, a reading guide and an option to hide decorative images. Your choices are stored in your browser and persist as you move between pages.

Translation

A translation control in the header offers machine translation into a range of languages through Google Translate. Machine translation is convenient but imperfect, and technical terms in this industry translate poorly. The English text is authoritative.

Known Limitations

• Machine translated pages are not reviewed by us and may contain inaccurate technical terminology.
• Third party embedded content, where present, may not fully meet our accessibility target. We are working with suppliers on this.
• Some product documentation supplied by manufacturers is provided in formats we do not control.

If any part of this site blocks you, we want to hear about it and we will fix it. Email [email protected] with the page address, what you were trying to do and what happened. Tell us what assistive technology and browser you are using if you can, because it helps us reproduce the problem.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly and to give you a realistic timescale for a fix. If you need information from this site in another format while we work on it, ask and we will supply it another way.

Assessment

This site is assessed by our own team through a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard testing and screen reader testing. A formal third party audit has not yet been carried out. When one is completed we will publish the date and the outcome here rather than making a general claim of conformance.
