What Drives The Price
Two things move a simulator quote more than everything else. Knowing which one is yours makes the budget conversation short.
We are not going to publish a price range on this page. Ranges wide enough to be honest are too wide to be useful, and the narrow ones you see elsewhere usually exclude the room work that half of all projects need. What we can do is tell you exactly what moves the number, so that when you get a quote from us or from anyone else you can read it properly.
The Launch Monitor Is The First Variable
It is the widest spread of any component by a large margin, and it is the one place we would tell you not to economise if accurate practice is the goal. If the bay is mainly for entertainment, this is where a sensible choice saves real money without anyone noticing the difference.
Room Preparation Is The Second, And It Is The Hidden One
This is what separates two quotes that look different for the same equipment. A basement that needs a duct rerouted and a circuit added. A garage that needs insulating, heating and a levelled subfloor before it is usable in winter. An outbuilding that needs power run to it properly.
We itemise this separately rather than folding it into a single figure, because it is the part you can plan, phase or handle with your own trades. A quote that hides it is not doing you a favour.
Where You Can Genuinely Save
- Projection. Fix the room light with blackout instead of buying lumens.
- Screen size. Bigger is not better in a room that cannot carry it.
- Phasing. Build the room properly now, upgrade the launch monitor later. The reverse never works.
- Doing your own room preparation, if you have the trades. We will specify it and you can execute it.
Where Saving Costs You More
- The subfloor. Skipping it ends practice by February and gets retrofitted anyway.
- Heating an unconditioned garage or outbuilding. An unused bay is a total loss, not a saving.
- Commercial rated screens in a paid venue. A home screen there is a replacement bill, not a saving.
- Commercial software licensing. Running a home licence in a paying venue is a real exposure.
Financing
Financing options are arranged through third party providers, and the terms available to you depend on the provider, your circumstances and your location. We are not a lender and we do not give financial advice.
What we can do is give you an itemised, specified quote that a lender or your own accountant can actually assess, and structure the project in phases if that suits your cash flow better than a single outlay. For commercial projects, a specified quote with consumable replacement intervals included is usually what a finance conversation needs, because it shows the running cost rather than just the capital cost.
Specific lenders, rates and terms are not listed here because we will not publish numbers we cannot stand behind. Ask us and we will tell you what is currently available for your project.
Questions We Get Asked
Why will you not publish prices?
Because the honest range is too wide to help and the narrow ranges you see elsewhere usually exclude room preparation, which is a real cost on roughly half the projects we survey. We would rather price your actual room and show you the lines than publish a number that changes the moment we see the space.
Can I build the room myself and have you install?
Yes. We will provide the specification for structure, power, lighting, floor build up and any acoustic treatment, and your trades can execute it. This is a common way to manage the budget and it works well as long as the specification is followed.
Can the project be phased?
Often, yes. The order that works is room first, then core bay, then upgrade the launch monitor later. The order that does not work is buying equipment first and preparing the room afterwards, because you end up paying to undo things.
Do commercial quotes include running costs?
Ours do. Screens, turf sections and projection wear on a schedule that depends on your volume, and a model that only counts the capital cost looks excellent in year one and painful in year three. We give you the intervals so the running cost sits in your numbers from the start.
