Golf Simulator Installation in Raleigh, NC

We install golf simulators in Raleigh and across Wake County. That means the whole job: room survey, framing, screen tension, turf and subfloor, enclosure, projector geometry, cable management and launch monitor calibration. If you already own equipment we will fit and commission it. If you are still choosing, we will spec it to the room first. North Carolina ranks 32nd nationally for golf simulator search interest, so we keep crews in this market.

What A Proper Raleigh Install Involves

Golf runs close to year round around Raleigh, and that's exactly why people assume they don't need a bay. Then December arrives, cold rain and short daylight set in for a handful of scattered weeks, and the range is a swamp. A simulator isn't replacing your season here. It's protecting the parts of it that weather and daylight quietly take away. In North Carolina we see more short game and putting use in these builds than we do in the northern markets.

Worth saying plainly: a simulator is practice, not a replacement for Lonnie Poole Golf Course. What it does is make sure the round you play there in April isn't the round where you rediscover your swing.

Altitude Calibration For Raleigh

Raleigh sits close to sea level at about 315 feet, which makes calibration simple. Your indoor carry numbers and your outdoor ones should line up without an altitude correction, so any gap you see is coming from something else: ball choice, mat interaction, or the launch monitor's placement. We still enter 315 during setup, because leaving the field untouched and setting it correctly are different things when you later move or upgrade the software.

Residential And Commercial Installs

We install into finished basements, unfinished basements, attached and detached garages, purpose built outbuildings, spare rooms and commercial venues around Raleigh. The survey is identical every time and it takes six measurements: ceiling height at the lowest obstruction, width wall to wall at the hitting position, depth from the screen back past your swing, floor level corner to corner, every light source in the room, and what circuits reach the space. Those six decide the build.

If you have not chosen equipment yet, start with home golf simulators or the Raleigh residential page instead, then come back for the install.

What The Install Includes

Install only is a service we offer. If you bought a package and want it fitted properly, send us the model list and your room dimensions. We will tell you whether the equipment suits the space before we accept the job, because installing an overhead unit into a low Raleigh basement helps nobody. Where the kit does not fit the room, we will say so and explain what would.

Field note. If you bought equipment before measuring the room, send us the model list with your dimensions before booking. It is much cheaper to find out now that an overhead unit will not work in your Raleigh basement.

How To Start

The form on this page is the fastest route. Ceiling height at the lowest obstruction, room width and depth, and whether you already own equipment. That is enough for us to tell you whether your Raleigh space is straightforward, workable with modifications, or genuinely not suitable. We will say the third one out loud if it applies.

Raleigh Simulator Questions

Can I use a golf simulator year round in Raleigh?

You can. Around Raleigh the outdoor season barely closes, so the honest answer is that a bay buys you reliability rather than rescue. cold rain and short daylight cost you a handful of scattered weeks in scattered days, and dark evenings cost you far more. Indoors, your session happens when you scheduled it.

What altitude should I set my simulator to in Raleigh?

Use 315 feet. Simulator software defaults to sea level, and Raleigh sits well away from that, so the correction is worth making. Using the two percent per thousand feet rule of thumb, you're looking at about 0.6 percent more carry than a sea level baseline. We set this during commissioning and re-check it after software updates, because updates sometimes reset it.

Do you install commercial golf simulator bays?

Yes. Commercial work in Raleigh adds structure and netting rated for public access, acoustic separation designed in during construction, an ADA accessible approach to at least one bay, commercial software licensing and integration with your booking system. We quote it separately from residential because it is a different job.

Can you fix a golf simulator install that went wrong?

Frequently, yes. Stalled builds, uncalibrated handovers, turf laid straight onto concrete, projectors that shadow the golfer. Tell us what is there and we will assess it. Sometimes the fix is small, and sometimes the room was never going to work. We will tell you honestly which one you have.

How far do you travel for installations?

We cover Raleigh and the wider Wake County area as standard, and we schedule survey visits across North Carolina most weeks. If you are outside the cities listed on this site, ask anyway. It is almost certainly still within range.
