Golf Simulator Installation in Houston, TX
We install golf simulators in Houston and across Harris County. That means the whole job: room survey, framing, screen tension, turf and subfloor, enclosure, projector geometry, cable management and launch monitor calibration. If you already own equipment we will fit and commission it. If you are still choosing, we will spec it to the room first. Texas ranks 47th nationally for golf simulator search interest, so we keep crews in this market.
What A Proper Houston Install Involves
Golfers in Texas lose almost none to weather closures, which sounds great until you count the days you quit early because it was 96 degrees with a heat index above that. heat, humidity and afternoon storms are the real limiter in Houston, not the calendar. A simulator gives you back the middle of the day, all summer, and gives you somewhere to be when a storm cell parks over the course. Both matter more than people expect before they own one.
Most customers here have a home course in the mix. Whether that's Memorial Park Golf Course or somewhere else in Harris County, the point of accurate indoor practice is that it transfers when you get back outside.

Altitude Calibration For Houston
Houston sits close to sea level at about 80 feet, which makes calibration simple. Your indoor carry numbers and your outdoor ones should line up without an altitude correction, so any gap you see is coming from something else: ball choice, mat interaction, or the launch monitor's placement. We still enter 80 during setup, because leaving the field untouched and setting it correctly are different things when you later move or upgrade the software.
What We Install In Houston
Commercial installs around Harris County run differently from residential ones. Structure, netting rated for public access, acoustic separation designed in during construction rather than added after the first complaint, ADA accessible approach to at least one bay, and an integration with whatever booking system you already run. We scope all of that during design because retrofitting any of it into a trading venue costs multiples of doing it upfront.
If you have not chosen equipment yet, start with home golf simulators or the Houston residential page instead, then come back for the install.
| If this is true | Then do this |
|---|---|
| You want weekday revenue | Lay out one bay for lessons and fitting, with camera space. |
| Dining sits next door | Acoustic separation during construction, not after opening. |
| You will charge for play | Commercial software licence. A home licence does not cover it. |
| Golf is an unattended amenity | Lock the interface, schedule startup, add remote monitoring. |
| Golf supports food and drink | Design for dwell time, sightlines from the bar, and seating in the bay. |
| You are staffing for June through September | That is peak in Houston, driven by heat, humidity and afternoon storms. Roster and stock for it. |
Field note. Garage slabs fall toward the door for drainage, usually about a quarter inch per foot. Level the bay area with a subfloor or your readings drift in one direction and you will blame your swing for months.
Scope Of Work, Plainly
Every Houston install finishes with a handover: how to start and shut the system down, what needs cleaning and how often, when turf and screen will need replacing, and what to do about the three faults most likely to happen. Commercial installs get the same in written form plus staff training, because a bay your team cannot reset is a bay generating nothing.
Measure these before you call anyone in Houston
- Depth from the screen wall to behind your swing
- Ceiling height at the lowest obstruction in the swing path
- Door swing and how equipment will physically get into the room
- Nearest electrical panel and what circuits reach the space
- Floor level across the bay area, corner to corner
- Width wall to wall at the hitting position

Book A Houston Survey
Send us your room dimensions and what equipment you have, if any. We come back with a scope and a real number. If you would rather we came out to Houston and measured properly first, the survey is free and carries no obligation. We would rather find a problem at survey stage than on install day.

Houston Simulator Questions
Can I use a golf simulator year round in Houston?
Absolutely. Outdoor golf near Houston loses almost none to closures, but quality practice collapses during June through September when heat, humidity and afternoon storms set in. Indoors with proper air conditioning you get full sessions in July at the same quality as October. That's the real year round argument in this market.
What altitude should I set my simulator to in Houston?
Use 80 feet. Simulator software defaults to sea level, and Houston sits well away from that, so the correction is worth making. Using the two percent per thousand feet rule of thumb, you're looking at about 0.2 percent more carry than a sea level baseline. We set this during commissioning and re-check it after software updates, because updates sometimes reset it.
Can you install a golf simulator in a basement with low ceilings?
Often yes, with the right specification. Below about nine feet we look at your actual swing arc rather than a chart, and we move to a side or floor mounted launch monitor because overhead units need height we do not have. A shortened driver setup or an iron and short game focused build makes plenty of low Houston basements work well.
Do you install golf simulators I bought elsewhere?
Yes, install only is a service we offer across Harris County. Send the model list with your room dimensions first. If the equipment genuinely does not suit the space, for example an overhead launch monitor in a low basement, we will tell you before we take the job rather than fit something that will not read properly.
Can you fix a golf simulator install that went wrong?
Frequently, yes. Stalled builds, uncalibrated handovers, turf laid straight onto concrete, projectors that shadow the golfer. Tell us what is there and we will assess it. Sometimes the fix is small, and sometimes the room was never going to work. We will tell you honestly which one you have.
