The Part People Underestimate

Seattle loses almost none to outright closures, so the winter argument other markets use doesn't land here. The one that does is daylight. From November the useful practice window after work is simply gone, and rain and short winter daylight take most of what's left on weekends. A simulator restores weeknights. That's the whole value proposition in Washington, and it's why we see so much evening use in the data our customers share with us.

Worth saying plainly: a simulator is practice, not a replacement for Jefferson Park Golf Course. What it does is make sure the round you play there in April isn't the round where you rediscover your swing.

Altitude Calibration For Seattle

Seattle sits close to sea level at about 175 feet, which makes calibration simple. Your indoor carry numbers and your outdoor ones should line up without an altitude correction, so any gap you see is coming from something else: ball choice, mat interaction, or the launch monitor's placement. We still enter 175 during setup, because leaving the field untouched and setting it correctly are different things when you later move or upgrade the software.

What We Install In Seattle

Most of our King County installs are basement conversions. The work that actually takes the time is not the simulator, it is the room: levelling a floor, rerouting a duct that crosses the swing path, adding a dedicated circuit so the projector and computer are not sharing with half the house. We sequence that work for you at quote stage so your trades and ours are not tripping over each other. Garage conversions add insulation and heat to the same list.

If you have not chosen equipment yet, start with home golf simulators or the Seattle residential page instead, then come back for the install.

What You Get On Install Day

Scope depends on whether you are buying from us or hiring us to fit your own equipment. Supply and install gets you a single point of responsibility, which matters when something needs warranty attention. Install only is cheaper and puts the equipment relationship on you. Both get the same survey, the same standard of work and the same commissioning in Seattle.

Seattle Simulator Questions

Can I use a golf simulator year round in Seattle?

It runs all year. The Seattle season stays open but gets wet and dark for months, and soaked mats plus no rollout make outdoor practice close to useless for gapping work. An indoor bay gives you dry, lit, repeatable conditions through November through February.

What altitude should I set my simulator to in Seattle?

Set it to 175 feet. That's the approximate elevation in Seattle, and it matters because thin air adds carry at roughly two percent per thousand feet, putting you near 0.4 percent above a sea level reference. Every simulator platform has an altitude or elevation field in its environment settings and most ship set to sea level. Leave it wrong and your gapping chart will be off across the whole bag.

Do you install golf simulators I bought elsewhere?

Yes, install only is a service we offer across King County. Send the model list with your room dimensions first. If the equipment genuinely does not suit the space, for example an overhead launch monitor in a low basement, we will tell you before we take the job rather than fit something that will not read properly.

How much does golf simulator installation cost in Seattle?

It depends on two things: whether we are supplying the equipment as well as fitting it, and what the room needs before the bay goes in. Room preparation is the variable most quotes hide, so we itemise it separately. Send your Seattle dimensions and we will price your actual space rather than quote a range that changes the moment we see it.

How far do you travel for installations?

We cover Seattle and the wider King County area as standard, and we schedule survey visits across Washington most weeks. If you are outside the cities listed on this site, ask anyway. It is almost certainly still within range.
